AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned
by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Similarly, less than two
percent of institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for
their accounting programs. The Sam M. Walton College of Business is within this prestigious
few.
History
The Sam M. Walton College of Business has maintained AACSB Accreditation since 1931. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting
body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees
in business and accounting.
Continuous Improvement
Accreditation not only means business schools must meet specific standards of excellence,
but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing
continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the
highest quality of education to students.
Our commitment to improvement emphases engagement, innovation, impact, and curricular
excellence through Assurance of Learning initiatives.
AACSB accreditation is a reflection of the national prominence of our accounting faculty, our commitment to students, and the faculty’s team-focused approached to fulfilling our mission.
