University of Arkansas
At the Sam M. Walton College of Business, we have much to celebrate. Students are increasingly choosing Walton College, in part due to our strong industry partnerships which provide exceptional internship and full-time placement opportunities.
We recently achieved an impressive first-year retention rate of 87.8%, which I believe reflects the supportive environment we create for our students from the very beginning.
One of my priorities this past academic year was to increase graduate enrollment and I am proud of the progress we made this year. Our graduate programs are important to our reputation and allow us to meet the needs of business professionals in Arkansas and beyond.
This past year, we welcomed many new faculty and staff members. I firmly believe that our faculty and staff ’s dedication to research innovation and experiential learning has been instrumental in preparing our students for their future careers and as a thought leader in business.
The combined hard work is paying off as evidenced by the recent recognition of our college. U.S. News & World Report ranked the Walton College as the 25th best public undergraduate business program in the country.
Additionally, Gartner has once again acknowledged our supply chain undergraduate program as the #1 program in North America, with our graduate program following closely at #2. The Princeton Review recognized our entrepreneurship program as #4 in the South and listed the Walton MBA as one of the Best On-Campus MBA programs.
These achievements are vital to our reputation as one of the country's premier business schools.
The future of the Walton College is bright. We are committed to pursuing excellence in teaching, research, and service to Arkansas.
I am proud of how the Walton College continues to push boundaries to foster a culture where forward-thinking ideas and teamwork drive success.
Together, we are shaping the future of business education, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
Thank you for your steadfast support and belief in our vision.
Best Regards,
