I made friends that I believe will definitely make differences in their communities.
This program has genuinely changed me as a person, and my eyes have been opened to all the opportunities and resources that are out there.
My favorite part of the program has been the doors it has opened for me. I am grateful to have been part of it, and if I could do it all over again, I absolutely would.
I came from a family where experiences like this are just dreams, so to actually be living it, and knowing I'm making my family proud as the first to experience something like this is truly surreal.
I loved being able to connect with new friends and people who aspire to the same career path as me. It was fun also seeing the aspects of different companies and how they really work on the business side of things.
More Information about the Fleischer Program

Morton Fleischer is a successful financier, entrepreneur and real estate investor. From his beginnings as a janitor in the local dime store to now, he has formed more than twenty real estate companies, taking three of them public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
With the Fleischer Scholars Program, his goal is to assist economically disadvantaged students allowing them to graduate from college and to encourage them to invest their time and talent back into their hometown communities upon graduation. He calls this the “multiplier effect” and hopes that these future leaders will serve as role models and thus cause a ripple effect in these communities.
Project Presentations
2026 Program participants worked with the McMillon Innovation Center on a project with Phillips 66, Signature Bank, and General Mills. Throughout the week the students spent mornings completing customer discovery and formulating a solution to the problem. Given the statement on Tuesday and presenting a solution on Friday.
The following were problem statements given to the students by the companies
- Signature Bank/Banco Si: How might we encourage Gen Z consumers to begin saving and investing earlier?
- Phillips 66: How might we help everyday people grasp just how much energy they use in a single day — and what it actually takes to produce it?
- General Mills: How might we better attract Young Better For You consumers (>30 y/o) and make sure our health callouts resonate with them?
