Q&A with Macy:
How did Walton College prepare you for your career?
Walton College played a key role in preparing me for my career. During my time there, we worked on several real-time projects that helped me understand how a data analytics project functions in a practical, real-world setting. Beyond the technical skills, the college provided great industry exposure through career fairs, networking events, and presentations, which helped me understand how analytics is applied in business environments.
What advice would you give to current Walton College students?
My advice to current Walton students would be to take full advantage of everything the College offers. And most importantly, stay curious, keep learning and don't be afraid to ask questions. This mindset will help you grow academically, professionally, and personally.
What’s one memorable experience that stands out from your time at Walton College?
One of my most memorable experiences at Walton was the engaging classes and discussions. I really enjoyed our practicum class, where we worked on real-time data projects, as well as making real friends, sharing knowledge, and learning something new in every class and subject. Those interactions and the collaborative learning environment made my time at Walton truly special and some of the best days of my life.
