Mark Todd, MBA’s experience at the Walton College opened the door to new opportunities and set him on a path toward a successful career in finance. He graduated in 2025 and now works as a Senior Financial Analyst at Tyson Foods in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Before his MBA, Mark earned a degree in Chemistry from Lawrence University—but it was at Walton College that his passion for business took shape and transformed his career trajectory.

Q&A with Mark:

What advice would you give to current students?

My advice to students is to show up regardless of how you’re feeling, and take a genuine interest in learning as much as you can, whether you’re in the classroom or engaging with business professionals at events.

What was a standout experience for you?

Traveling to Chile with my classmates for about two weeks was one of the most memorable experiences. That trip helped us strengthen the bond we already had and created lasting memories that brought us even closer.

How has your MBA influenced your career?

My experience in the MBA program has completely transformed my career trajectory. Prior to joining the program, I earned a Chemistry degree at Lawrence University, but I wasn’t sure how or even if I was going to use it. The MBA program sparked my interest in business, especially finance. Now, I see a future for myself in the business world, and I’m excited about where it’s taking me.
