This past weekend our EMBA Professional Development Committee hosted a lunch and learn during the EMBA Saturday with Lynn Wong and Stephanie Magnuson as our guest speakers.

Lynn brings over 22 years of leadership experience in global logistics, having worked with industry giants like Maersk, The Home Depot, Walmart, and the New York Shipping Exchange. Lynn now coaches corporate high achievers to gain energy and beat burnout to do the work they love. She is also a career coach to EMBA students.

Stephanie's career features an impressive 15 years in Human Resources, including leadership roles at Walmart and Murphy USA. She serves as the Vice President of HR & Strategic People Partner at Tyson Foods and has extensive expertise in talent acquisition and HR strategy as well as her dedication to professional growth earned her recognition as one of the influential '40 under 40' professionals by Arkansas Business just last year.

Lynn and Stephanie shared their advice on how to navigate salary negotiations effectively and how students could leverage their MBA throughout the negotiation process. Thank you to Lynn Wong & Stephanie Magnuson for their incredible insight and for sharing their expertise with our EMBA students! We are also very proud and grateful to our Professional Development Committee members Jessica Jones,Prabha Girish,M. Hossein Kashefizadeh, PhD, and Madison Temples for spearheading this event.

Matt WallerAlexandra Goforth graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 2019. She received college and departmental honors with highest distinction for her studies in biological anthropology and global health along with the Sherwood L. Washburn Award for Excellence in Biological Anthropology for her undergraduate honors thesis. Since returning to her hometown of Fayetteville, Ark., Alexandra has joined the University of Arkansas as a marketing and communications officer for the MBA Programs Office at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. She has contributed to freelance projects for Walton College Executive Education and the University of Arkansas School of Law. She is passionate about writing, community health and the nexus of business and healthcare.

Raleigh Woods (MBA ’22) secured a full-time position with SpaceX after graduating from the Walton MBA program. She will be working as a sourcing specialist supporting Starlink in the Seattle, WA area.
