Ph.D. Assistantships

Forms of Funding

Most students admitted to a Walton College Ph.D. program receive funding. This funding comes in three forms: tuition waiver, graduate assistantship (GA), and stipend. Students work half-time (20 hours a week) teaching and/or conducting research. This financial assistance is renewable annually for a total of 4 years. Students are expected to enroll in a minimum of 9 hours for fall and spring semesters, and 3 hours for summer and maintain a 3.25 GPA.

Fellowship Funding Requirements

In order for an applicant to be considered for a fellowship, the following requirements must be met:

Walton Fellowship Master's: 3.5 600 5.0 1200; 307 4.0
DAF Master's: 3.5 600 5.0 1200; 307 4.0
DDF Master's: 3.75 650 5.5 1300; 314 4.5

Domestic students are also eligible for student loans. In order to apply, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
