Walton College Study Abroad Funding
For WCOB majors and minors.

Walton Students are considered for:

Gilman International Scholarship Program
Open to study in all countries (preference given to countries outside of Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand).

Award:

  • $5,000 (up to one academic year)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant at the time of application.
  • Cannot be studying abroad in a country currently under a U.S. Department of State Travel Warning or in Cuba

Boren Awards for International Study
Excludes Western Europe, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Award:

  • $2,500 (summer)
  • $4,000 - 10,000 (semester)
  • $6,000 - 20,000 (academic year)

Eligibility:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Program must include study of a less commonly taught language.
  • Summer and Semester only applies to freshman, sophomores or students in STEM.
