The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service is now accepting applications for the fourth class of its online master’s degree program. The deadline to apply is December 1.

You can start your application online. You can request more information, or schedule a phone call with the admissions team on their website. Questions can be emailed to Director of Enrollment Alex Thomas at aethomas@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

The application is simple – there is no application fee and no GRE required, making this one of the most accessible online programs available.

Clinton School Online utilizes asynchronous online classes, offering professionals the enhanced knowledge and skills needed to advance their careers and public service efforts without disrupting their personal lives.

Grounded in critical analysis and the formulation of program and policy options, Clinton School Online teaches students to build stronger communities by understanding, engaging, and transforming complex systems to ensure equity and create positive social change. Classes include Foundations of Public Service, Data Analysis, Program Planning and Development, and Communication and Social (Ex)Change.

The ideal candidate is a professional who has demonstrated leadership in his or her career and personal pursuit of public service, and is someone with a strong academic background.

There are only five items needed to complete your application:

  • A completed application form
  • Final academic transcripts
  • An updated resume
  • One short-answer question
  • One letter of recommendation

Those who have fully submitted the required documents by the deadline will be notified of their admission decision by December 21. Classes being in March 2021.

The first online cohort graduated in May 2020 and featured professionals working in various industries and career fields, including banking, education, healthcare, law, nonprofit management, and philanthropy.

“The Clinton School, and the way that they offer this program, allows someone like me, who has work, life outside of work, and a family, to really focus on pursuing their education and developing their skills,” Solomon said.

Ryan Solomon (’20) serves as Assistant General Counsel and Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the United States.

“I’m so grateful to have been a part of the inaugural class for many reasons,” Denig said. “But mostly because the readings, discussion and strategies involving diversity and inclusion in the workplace have become invaluable in my current position in the court system.”

Lisa M. Denig (’20) is Special Counsel for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Initiatives for the New York State Office of Court Administration.

“UACS creates a space that welcomes ideas, dialogue, and civil discourse,” Tyler said. “The importance of representation, community alliances, and partnership is part of the foundational core of the curriculum. My career has been positively impacted due to the school’s focus on values and leadership qualities needed for effective public service.”

Renee Tyler (’20) is the Community Services Director for the City of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
