STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Alyssa Eby (Walton Executive MBA ’24)
Alyssa Eby is a Senior Product Designer at Workrise where she crafts product experiences to increase the ease, speed and safety of doing
business in energy. She’s currently pursuing her Walton Executive MBA, serves on the
student advisory board and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honors society.
Alyssa chose to pursue her MBA to grow and expand her skillset. As an undergraduate
at the University of Arkansas, Alyssa pursued graphic design and computer science.
“After graduating and working in the technology industry for five years, I was motivated
to return to school to learn more about the business side of the house,” says Eby.
The most transformative part of the program for Alyssa has been the people she’s met.
“My colleagues have a wide variety of backgrounds in different industries, yet we
can immediately connect the dots between what we are learning in class to what we
are going through in our full-time positions at work,” says Eby.
Alyssa says the Walton Executive MBA program has increased her confidence in the work
she creates and her capacity for empathy.
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys playing disc golf with her family and journaling to
recenter and focus. She recommends the Day One Journal app for those interested in
journaling online. “For a working professional, having a positive outlet like a journal
is a must!”
Thank you for sharing, Alyssa!
