STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Dennis Daniels, MBA (Walton MBA ’23)
Dennis Daniels recently completed his Walton MBA at the University of Arkansas after
graduating from Southern Arkansas University in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical
engineering.
Dennis chose to pursue an MBA to increase his leadership and managerial skills and
ultimately advance his career in the field of mechanical engineering. Choosing the
Walton MBA program was an easy decision: “the University of Arkansas has always been
a dream school of mine,” says Daniels.
The most transformative part of the program from Dennis has been the people. “I have
made lifetime friends from my cohort and have developed a solidified network that
continues to grow,” says Daniels.
Dennis credits the Walton MBA program for equipping him with the tools required to
perform well in his field. “The finance and accounting skills I gained have given
me leverage on engineering presentations allowing me not only to understand business
terminology but also allowing me to better convey pricing of projects I will be working
on for my company,” Daniels shares.
Dennis is motivated by his parents and the example of hard work they set for him growing
up: “I just want to make my parents proud and carry a high standard for the name that
I carry.”
Well done and congratulations on your graduation, Dennis!
