Congratulations to Tomas Jandik, professor of finance and the Dillard’s Chair in Corporate Finance, on marking 20
years as the primary finance instructor for the Walton Executive MBA program!
Professor Jandik is passionate about equipping his students with the confidence required
to navigate the finance industry.
His accolades include Walton MBA Teacher of the Year 2022 and 2016, 2019 University
of Arkansas Teaching Academy inductee, 2018 Outstanding All-Around Faculty Award,
2017 Excellence in Teaching Award, and 1994 Fulbright Fellow.
“It has been the experience of a lifetime to participate in the remarkable transformation
from the program’s relatively humble beginnings to its great present,” Jandik said.
“The drive of these people is truly inspiring, and I am really proud to be a small
part of their career trajectories.”
Jandik earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in math from Czech Technical University
and his Ph.D. in finance from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University
of Pittsburgh.
