To meet the needs of the retail and consumer goods marketing industry, the Sam M.
Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas is now offering a Master of Science in Marketing degree which focuses on brand and retail management, consumer behavior and analytics.
“We are so excited to launch this new program, where students will be immersed in
a comprehensive, leading-edge curriculum in the dynamic world of marketing. Students
will experience the challenges faced by organizations in an environment altered by
changes in consumer behavior, technology and personalization. The Master of Science
in Marketing degree is designed to foster customer-focused innovation and decision-making
skills essential for success in brand management,” said Craig Geiger, program director
for the graduate marketing program.
“The Master of Science in Marketing degree is vital to the industry in our region,”
said Matt Waller, Walton College dean. “Retailers, consumer goods companies, supply
chain management service providers, and early-stage companies need professionals who
understand all aspects of marketing, from digital marketing to shopper insights, analytics
to brand management. This program can meet that need.”
The graduate degree, available in a one-year, full-time format, was developed for
recent college graduates and young professionals. The curriculum includes marketing
and sales analytics, consumer research and behavior, new product development, digital
marketing, social media and retailing strategy.
The program provides networking opportunities for students through internships and
exposure to industry leaders. It also offers measurable personal and professional
growth in an exciting, relevant curriculum for participants.
