Meet Tanisha Singh! Tanisha is from Long Island, NY, and is a marketing major with a minor in business analytics.

She is involved on campus with the Walton College Student Marketing Advisory Board, Resident Interhall Congress, and is a Conference Ambassador. She is also a part of the Venture Innovation Program, where she is interning with Candles by Whitney.

Q&A with Tanisha:

How has your campus involvement enhanced your college experience?

"When I transferred to U of A in Fall 2023, my only goal was to come out of my comfort zone and say yes to every opportunity that came my way and to ones that I sought out. [It] not only made me grow as person, [but] I also got to meet new people who came from all walks of life that became my new friends."

What is a Walton College resource you have utilized that has benefited you?

"Career Connections! They have helped me immensely with my resume and answered all my questions and never felt I was being rushed out of there. When talking to them after changing my major, I gave them information about what I wanted to do with my degree and we sat down and began drawing a map of ways on achieving that goal. They gave me templates on how to reach out to companies, the headshot booth, and the ability to practice for mock interviews to get instant feedback."

What is your favorite WCOB class?

"Consumer Behavior with Brandon Spurlock. It’s great merge of psychology and marketing and gives a deep insight into people's behaviors either as an individual or collectivist. Professor Spurlock teaches it by giving real life examples and how it applies in both personal and professional life which helps me navigate the world a little better."
