College Logos

Our logo is one of our most important brand assets. It helps build recognition and represents the Sam M. Walton College of Business both on campus and beyond. To keep our brand consistent, clear and professional across all platforms, please follow the logo guidelines outlined in this guide.

Full Color Logos

The primary logo features the Old Main shield, the University wordmark and the Walton College name all stacked vertically. An alternate horizontal version of the logo is also available for use when the primary logo isn’t appropriate or doesn’t fit in the available space.

Logo Usage Guidelines

Minimum Size:
To ensure the logo remains clear and readable, it must not be displayed below the minimum sizes specified. Inch measurements apply to printed materials, while pixel measurements apply to digital use.

The minimum recommended size for the vertical logo is 1" in height. The minimum recommended size for the horizontal logo treatment is 1/2" in height.

Resolution:
Printed materials require high-resolution graphics of at least 300 ppi at their intended size. For digital uses such as websites, emails and presentations, a resolution of at least 72 ppi is sufficient at the displayed size.

Margins:
A clear zone equal to the height of the word "Arkansas" should be maintained around the logos.

X = the height of the word ARKANSAS

Proper Colors:
The most frequent error when using the logo is modifying it incorrectly for use on dark backgrounds. Shown below are examples of proper logo reversals. In all cases, the tower should remain a darker color than the shield.

The top two logos demonstrate correct reversals using white ink on a dark background. When the background is dark and production is limited to a single ink color, white ink should always be used. These examples illustrate the appropriate treatment for that scenario.

The bottom two logos show approved two-color reversed versions. These should be used when two ink colors are available for printing.

Department Lockups:
Every department, office and program within Walton College is part of the broader University of Arkansas community and contributes to the university’s reputation and legacy. To maintain a strong and consistent brand presence, all academic and administrative units are required to use the official University of Arkansas logo or an approved Walton College logo lockup on all official materials and communications. This ensures a clear and unified affiliation with the University of Arkansas across all platforms.
