Walton College Executive Education will host the first ever virtual Women in IT Conference Wednesday, April 7.
The conference connects and creates a network of diverse women in information technology who can learn what’s new and next for the industry. Conference sessions include presentations on ethics, fintech, networking, narrative building, blockchain, product management and on-demand content.
Walton College Executive Education is partnering with The Venture Center, Girl Gang NWA and Arkansas Money & Politics for the conference. The conference welcomes nearly 400 participants interested in supporting women in the information and technology field.
Conference emcees include Jaclyn House of KNWA/FOX 24 Good Day Northwest Arkansas and Susan Bristow of Sam M. Walton College of Business Department of Information Systems. Featured speakers include Erika Amoako-Agyei, Gretchen Ulery, Atty Mashatan, Rebecca Wilson and Mary Lacity.
Amoako-Agyei is an experienced international business executive who has worked extensively with global companies and organizations. Ulery is a senior account executive at Teradata supporting Retail customers. Mashatan is an associate professor and the founder and director of the Cybersecurity Research Lab (CRL) at Ryerson University. Wilson is an Azure director in Microsoft’s U.S. South Region and is responsible for helping customers drive business value through their cloud transformation journeys. Lacity is Walton Professor of Information Systems and director of the Blockchain Center of Excellence in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
