In 2017, Edwards served as Chief of Staff for the independent compliance monitor and auditor team appointed by the Department of Justice for the VW monitorship.

Erika Cheung: Speaker Recap for Let's Talk about Speaking Up

Erika Cheung spoke to Walton College as a part of the Let's Talk about Speaking Up program hosted by the Business Integrity Leadership Initiative. Erika Cheung is one of the key whistleblowers who reported Theranos’ false medical tests to health regulators. Since then, Cheung co-founded and is the Executive Director of Ethics in Entrepreneurship. The non-profit develops resources and ethical training for future tech leaders to learn how to recognize and act on ethical problems. She is also the Program Director of Betatron, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Hong Kong.

Sherron Watkins: Speaker Recap for Let's Talk about Speaking Up

Sherron Watkins spoke to Walton College as a part of the Let's Talk about Speaking Up program hosted by the Business Integrity Leadership Initiative. Sherron Watkins, is a leadership and ethics advocate widely known for being the whistleblower on Enron Corporation’s accounting irregularities. She has testified before Congressional Committees from both the House and Senate investigating Enron’s demise. Watkins was selected by TIME magazine in 2002 as one of their Persons of the Year. Today, she is a Professor of Practice at the University of North Carolina and co-author of the book Power Failure: The Inside Story of the Collapse of Enron.

Mary Gentile: Speaker Recap for Let's Talk about Speaking Up

At LiveRamp, Jones is responsible for the legal, privacy, and data ethics teams and leads strategic initiatives. Jones is also a special advisor to Club de Madrid, a forum of former democratic heads of state, focused on, among other things, the responsible use of AI on the world stage. Jones also sits on the Business Integrity Leadership Initiative’s external advisory board.

A spring program about white-collar crime, what it is, why people do it, and how to recognize it. The speaker series comprises two white-collar criminals, Walt Pavlo and Richard Bistrong. Both speakers spent time in jail for their crimes and now devote their professional efforts to education so others can learn from their mistakes.
