The Walton College and SAS has a relationship beyond software. Not only has SAS gifted the university some of their most advanced technology, they collaborate on the delivery of conference presentations and unique projects, such as the creation of an upcoming Data and Analytics for Good Journal.

SAS Support at University of Arkansas

SAS has supported the University since the late 1990s, playing a vital role in bringing analytical tools to the students at the Walton College of Business. SAS continues to provide advanced statistical and analytical software that is used for visualizations on the Enterprise System website. They also provide support for a variety of educational efforts, such as the business analytics practicum course.

SAS Support With Enterprise Partners (Teradata & Microsoft SQL)

SAS Viya provides Teradata users with high-speed, in memory processing of data. The data is loaded at high speeds from Teradata or Microsoft SQL server. Users can also   directly load databases into a SAS server.

SAS Support for Razorback Baseball

SAS provides support for student analysis of Razorback baseball practices and games. Using SAS software has played a part in the success of Razorback baseball.

SAS Journal Support for Data and Analytics for Good

SAS and the University of Arkansas are partnering, along with Appalachian State University to build and support an open data ecosystem that includes the new Data and Analytics For Good journal. Data & Analytics For Good is an open access, peer-reviewed data journal with an international focus that is dedicated to publishing novel research that furthers one or more of the 17 United Nations Sustainable  Development Goals (SDGs). Using data from published articles, that will be housed in the Walton College Enterprise Systems, SAS will create learning assets that assist educators in incorporating meaningful analytics projects into their courses.
